Cairn Shiel is a modern bungalow which stands in a private and prime location within the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve, which is renowned for its variety of wildlife, magnificent scenery and mountain trails; an ideal base for a variety of outdoor activities, wildlife and landscape photography, touring the North West Highlands, or simply relaxing in majestic surroundings.
The house has commanding views on all sides, including two of Scotland's greatest mountains; Beinn Eighe and Slioch, with Liathach, Beinn Alligin and the Torridon Mountains close by.
Pine Martens visit the house regularly (especially if you feed them!) and deer and eagles are often seen. Please read our Cairn Shiel wildlife photography policy.
The house is a short distance from Torridon, Loch Maree, and the numerous sandy beaches and bays around Gairloch, Red Point and Torridon.
The area's attractions include: guided walking, cycling, climbing, and sea kayaking trips; whale-watching trips; salmon, trout, pike and sea fishing; bird-watching; falconry courses; pony trekking; golf course; swimming pool; boat trips to view Viking graves on Loch Maree; bike hire; Inverewe Garden (National Trust) and Attadale Gardens.
Bookings include internet and electricity.
